dun get the wrong idea.
i dun think band people say singing is easy.

first of all, i was from choir, remember?
i know singing requires many things, singing in different languages, pitching, etc
singing is definitely NOT easy.
for example, my singing techniques, tone, pitching now was a far cry from the days when i was still in choir..
singing was a part of me.
now, i admit, my breathing, pitching had sadly deterioated( pls correct me, i dunno the spelling)

secondly, many band people becomes shy when it comes to singing..
they can blast the instruments like nobody's business
but whenever we were asked to sing out the rhythm, many refused to open their mouths..
when they finally do, the whole band sounds like a bee buzzing..
most band people are certainly not singing type..
when they say singing is easy, most of the time they mean it jokingly..
of cos, they will say, 'singing is so easy.'
but deep down, they do know that singing involves many techniques too..

different ccas train on different things..
a joke to reduce the tension: a bunch of band ppl( including yours truly, moi) were sitting next to this grp of NCC ppl. NCC ppl were training..push-ups as usual..
they had to count everytime they did the push-ups..
and the commando ordered them to recount everytime it gets messy
so my band mates shouted at them(friends friends with commando mah)
' NCC shld join band for 3 mths to learn counting!'
however, during drills, they can laugh at us le..
cos our drills are lousy compared to them..

yup, different ccas train on different things.
basketball peeps have to shoot many many shots.
dance peeps have to dance gracefully..
band peeps have to create beautiful music..
uniform groups peeps have to learn survival skills
CCC peeps must be passionate abt the community...
ETC ETC ETC ETC!

tml may have more things to complain abt my cca?
haha..
but tml the pieces of band fest will be given out..
hopefully it will motivate me?
